Small Faces is the eponymous second studio album by the Small Faces, released in 1967. The album was their first for Immediate Records after leaving Decca. It peaked at number 12 in the UK Album Chart. The band's debut album, released on Decca in 1966, is also entitled Small Faces.

There Are But Four Small Faces. There Are But Four Small Faces" is a studio album by British rock group Small Faces. It acts as an alternative version of the Immediate album Small Faces, that came out earlier the same year, and it was released somewhat belatedly on 1 December of 1967 through Columbia Records distribution. It was issued around the same time as their single Tin Soldier was issued.

This is where the already-confusing Small Faces discography gets baffling.

Small Faces is the second studio album by the English band Small Faces released via Immediate Records in June 1967. It peaked at number 12 in the UK Album Chart and was their first LP for Immediate in 1967. Confusingly, the band's debut album, released on Decca in 1966, is also entitled Small Faces. UK version: Small Faces. US version: There Are But Four Small Faces. Combined version: Small Faces.

Starting it all is the Small Faces’ only single, ‘Itchycoo Park’ which has some very fun acoustic guitar playing, with a four note hook that ‘Baba O’Reiley’ is jealous of. The vocal trade offs are simply ingenious, and the chorus backs up the reason for this song being a single. Green Circles’ is not dissimilar to the single, and features some overdubbed catchy-as-hell voices and cool drumming. And while there are bluesy numbers, ‘I’m Only Dreaming’ is a catchy acoustic pop song with a very likable rhythm.

  • i've got one as well. always thought it was some type of promo but neither the label nor the jacket is marked as such. i was wondering if anyone out there has "immediate" album that they know is a promo and if so, what color is the label? another thought is does anyone have another" immediate" artist record that has a white or yellow label? one last thing, my record is in the colored jacket.

  • You having one in a colored jacket makes even clearer to me that this one is a official release. All Immediate records who are promo have a white label, not stating it's promo.I'll just remove the unofficial status and i rely on support from the owners of this one. :-)

  • This completely puzzles me too.... I've got this, black and white photo cover, with white labels rather than yellow....it looks and "feels" completely genuine.

  • I got this and there is no fuckin way this is a boot. Muppets.

  • Yeah man! All the material of it states quite clearly, original one.

  • I have this press as well. I have many unofficial records but this is not a boot or pirate. How can we get it off the unofficial list? What makes it unofficial?

  • I think you nailed it! It's a promotional copy. How do we put it to a vote?

  • PS: Mine's got a wihte label. I'll post it later and claim it's official.

  • I absolutely agree with you, my friend. To me, is a quite rare promo. There are no reasons noted for it to be unofficial. The sturdy sleeve makes it even clearer.

  • On what basis this issue is claimed to be an unofficial release? It's exactly the same as the other colored cover ones, same design, just black and white. I got this copy with a white label, compared it to another "original colored cover", and they're pretty much the same, and SOUND the same. I think this should not be "unofficial".

  • I have this pressing and the sound quality of one of the channels seems pretty off. For example I can barely hear the vocals on 'Get Yourself Together' other than the chorus. I'm not sure if the "official" pressings have the same issue, but it has me wondering.
