The album is a reinterpretation of the soundtrack of the musical of the same name. Lead vocals are usually duets between lead singer Milan Fras and guest collaborator Boris Benko of Silence. The album was well received by critics.

The Sound of Music was conceived when Laibach were infamously invited to perform in North Korea in 2015. The band performed several songs from the 1965 film’s soundtrack at the concert in Pyongyang, chosen by Laibach as it’s a well-known and beloved film in the DPRK and often used by schoolchildren to learn English. The album was recorded and produced in Ljubljana, Slovenia and in Pyongyang, DPRK and represents another successful collaboration between Laibach and Silence (Primož Hladnik and Boris Benko), who previously co-created Laibach’s 2006 Volk album.

Bobby Brown's third album brings the goods. Continuing with the sound of the time. Bobby keeps it funky fresh with New Jack rythems and flavor. This album in many ways is his last major success as a solo artist. Before he would become more known for his personal troubles than his music.

Runtime: 60 min. Sound Mix: Mono. Bobby Limb's series started as "Bobby Limb's Late Show" in 1959, became "The Bobby Limb Show" in 1960. In 1961 it became "The Mobil-Limb Show". I saw an episode of this series recently via the Mediatheque in Melbourne, which I believe is the first episode of the 1960. This series is before my time, so some of the references were lost on me, but nevertheless I quite enjoyed it. The episode features a mix of music, professional dancing, and comedy sketches, and begins by announcing which stations aired the series

Julie Andrews performed the song for the first time on the Christmas special for The Garry Moore Show in 1961, and then she starred in the 1965 film. Instrument: Piano Sheet Music, Chords, vocal, Guitar Chords. Original Published Key: E Minor.
