Be Lucky" is a song by The Who, written by Pete Townshend and recorded for the band's compilation album The Who Hits 50! released in 2014 and was proposed for a following album. The song is the first new material released by The Who in the eight years since their 2006 studio album Endless Wire. The royalties from "Be Lucky" benefited Teen Cancer America, a US outgrowth of Roger Daltrey's successful UK charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust. The Who. Roger Daltrey – lead vocals, backing vocals.

Be lucky Be lucky Be lucky Be lucky some. Be lucky, gotta make it your own Get it from a bottle or squeeze it from a stone Might not remember the best way home But come December you won’t be alone. Be lucky Better not forget, uh-oh Be lucky A very simple thing Be lucky Better make a bet, uh-oh Be lucky Or you might never win. Be lucky, place your bet Can put it on a nag who ain't done nothing yet Make sure it was born in the Lambourn hills Then Kentucky Farm could pay your bills

Originally released as Polydor 4711103 on October 7, 2014 with an etched The Who Hits 50! logo on the B-side (no music) and then re-released for Record Store Day 2015 as Polydor 4721608 on April 21, 2015 with ‘I Can’t Explain (mono mix) as the B-side. It was then included in the Polydor Singles 1975-2015 box in a picture sleeve with ‘I Can’t Explain’ (mono mix) as the B-side.

Be Well, Be Safe, Be Lucky. The Anthology is a compilation of solo and related work by the British guitarist Peter Banks, released by the Peter Banks Musical Estate in March 2018 on the fifth anniversary of Banks' death

To celebrate their 50th anniversary as a band, the Who are releasing a two-disc retrospective collection called Who Hits 50! that’s made up of some of their biggest hits. The collection also includes Be Lucky, the first new Who song recorded in eight years. The track’s lyrics reference both Daft Punk and AC/DC: You wanna climb without a safety line, Daft Punk will tell you that it’s gonna be fine, Roger Daltrey sings before an Autotuned voice says, It’s gonna be fine. He repeats the same refrain with AC/DC subbed in and shouts out Highway To Hell in a separate line.

  • this is an official cdr one track cd single with the new 2014 who song called be lucky that polydor universal in the uk released, i have found over the past 3 years or so when a promo only cd single comes out, even the major labels do it on cdr as they do not bother to have them factory pressed, anyway the song is just ok, as usual it does not hold a matchstick to anything the who recorded between 1964 and 1981, if you are a major who collector then you may want this as i am a huge who collector and i only got this for my collection, the song itself once again is just ok........
