Where the Boys Are is a 1960 Metrocolor and CinemaScope American comedy film directed by Henry Levin and starring Connie Francis, Dolores Hart, Paula Prentiss, George Hamilton, Yvette Mimieux, Jim Hutton, and Frank Gorshin. It was written by George Wells based on the 1960 novel of the same name by Glendon Swarthout. The screenplay concerns four college co-eds who spend spring break in Fort Lauderdale. The title song "Where the Boys Are" was sung by Connie Francis, who also co-starred in a supporting role.

Best Coast's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates. Best Coast. Something In the Way.

Best Coast's first year saw a flurry of little releases: a self-titled 7" single on Art Fag; a cassette tape release, Where the Boys Are, on the . label Blackest Rainbow; a split 7", Up All Night, on Atelier Ciseaux; an EP, Make You Mine, on Group Tightener; and a self-titled 7" on Black Iris. Best Coast had become something of a sensation by the time 2009 came to a close; the band enjoyed a bit of attention from the media (notably from Nylon magazine), and Make You Mine made its way onto a few year-end lists. The band embarked on its first . tour early the following.

Best Coast's sophomore effort, The Only Place, was released in 2012 and featured a cleaner sound than their previous releases. In 2013, the duo released an EP, Fade Away, and their third studio album, California Nights, was released on May 4, 2015. YouTube Encyclopedic. Jeffery Kaye, label manager of Mexican Summer, discovered the band's music online. These releases included a cassette tape release, Where the Boys Are, on the . label Blackest Rainbow; a split 7", "Up All Night", on Atelier Ciseaux; and an EP, Make You Mine, on Group Tightener. Margaret Reges writes that Best Coast had "become something of a sensation.

When Best Coast first got people's attention, in 2010, they smoked a lot of weed and talked about singer Bethany Cosentino's cat, Snacks, with some frequency. Bethany and old friend Bobb Bruno had formed a band after she returned home to LA following an aborted year at college in New York. Back then, their hope was that people would be "making out to Best Coast in their cars or something. Or smoking weed in their cars listening to it". Two years on and that's all changed. I meet up with Bethany at Whole Foods in Austin, Texas, where the band are about to start promoting their glossier second album, The Only Place. She says she doesn't want people to smoke weed to Best Coast any more.
