Practice What You Preach. Produced by Alex Perialas. Album Practice What You Preach. Practice What You Preach Lyrics

Practice What You Preach (. 4) Great opening track it's not as fast and as thrashy as the older stuff but its still very good and Skolnick's solo is one of his best in the whole time he was with Testament. Envy Life (. 6) Compared to the first 2 tracks on the album this doesn't quite stand up to them. It starts with a growl from chuck and it starts off alright but after a while I got a bit fed up of this song and at . 3 there is a bit that really annoys me now because I don't like it where chuck starts singing "come on down to the house of pain.

Practice What You Preach (Testament song). Practice What You Preach" is a song by American thrash metal band Testament, taken from their 1989 album Practice What You Preach. It was released as a promotional single to support the album. Due to being one of the band's most famous and popular songs, and for being one of the most frequently played songs at live concerts, "Practice What You Preach" can be considered Testament's signature song.

Practice What You Preach is the third full-length Testament album and probably the best of their first era, which starts with "The Legacy" and ends with "The Ritual". Eerie Inhabitants and Disciples of the Watch) it is full of superb riffs and impressive, fast and melodic solos. And since this album is a Testament album I insist on stretching out that Billy's voice quality is unique and that it indicates in an odd but pleasant way his native american roots. His talent is obvious; all you have to do is listen to him for what he truly is, not what you want to hear. Once you manage to expel Metallica from your mind, you'll find out why Billy is so unique.

Instead, the thrash metallers place more emphasis on subjects like freedom of choice, political corruption, hypocrisy, and the effects of greed and avarice. One of Testament's most informative songs, the disturbing "Greenhouse Effect" takes a painfully honest look at environmental destruction.

Practice What You Preach is a thrash album: deafening, hostile, frenzied, and vehemently anti-authoritarian. Yet it also boasts a truckload of chunky rhythms and fuzzy riffs that speak to Testament’s love for rawk. In this sense, it’s a great crossover effort. Perilous Nation nails the band’s vision with its supple balance of violent lunges in tempo and in-the-pocket swing-not necessarily groove metal, but it comes close. Even more impressive in its agility is Greenhouse Effect, a seething environmental anthem that reveals the band’s conservationist sympathies
